The Finals dev teases immediate release for exciting leaked game mode

The Finals Season 5 has gotten really hot! In update 5.9.0, Embark included some weapon buffs and nerfs, while also outlining their plans for balance changes come Season 6. However, what the update did not include was the leaked return of the CNS. Because of this, fans assumed the leak would materialize with patch 5.10.0 instead, but it appears to be happening a lot sooner. Embark has now teased the release date for the return of the CNS and the leaked new game mode for The Finals.

On The Finals’ official Discord, Embark posted the following cryptic message with the CNS account:

₱ⱤɆ₱₳ⱤɆ ₣ØⱤ ₣Ʉ₦ 2͖̿0̫̍͒2̥͍̙5̤͊͘.̢̺̙0͍̞̄2̗͈͒.1_4 ₣ⱤØ₥ ₵₦₴ ₩ł₮Ⱨ ⱠØVɆ

This seems to suggest that the CNS are coming back to The Finals on February 14^th. If true, it’s assumed this will also be the release date for the leaked new game mode, Team Deathmatch.

The Team Deathmatch leak was shared on X by ReachTheLeaks. The leak included a video of Team Deathmatch in action, and the video ended with the the message, “New game mode from CNS… with love”.

Embark’s tease isn’t completely identical to the leak as there’s no mention of a game mode, but “from CNS with love” is exactly the same. According to the leaked video, Team Deathmatch will follow the usual format, and it will be 5v5.

Remember that this is still a leak rather than anything official. It’s possible the CNS could return tomorrow without the Team Deathmatch mode, but it does feel as though TDM is happening.
