Bethesda has announced that Wrathstone, the next slice of DLC for The Elder Scrolls Online, will launch for PC on February 25.

Those of you who prefer dipping into the sprawling fantasy MMO on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One can pick it up slightly later on March 12. The DLC will kick off the game's Season of the Dragon, and precedes the major expansion Elsweyr, which will keep players busy throughout the year.

'This new DLC will challenge players to uncover both halves of the mysterious Wrathstone tablet with two all-new, four-player dungeons: Depths of Malatar and Frostvault. In Depths of Malatar, players will investigate sunken Ayleid ruins and discover the fate of a lost Imperial cohort,' says Bethesda.

Bethesda is also planning a free update for The Elder Scrolls Online, which will include additional PvP rewards, a fresh battleground, the Zone Guide system, and revamped UI for the Guild Trader.

The Elder Scrolls Online was released on PC back in April 2014, and was revamped under the Tamriel Unlimited moniker for its PS4 and Xbox One debut the following summer. It also ditched the mandatory subscription model in favour of buy-to-play setup less than a year after its initial launch.

Bethesda confirmed in June 2017 that The Elder Scrolls Online had notched up 10 million players, with a monthly pull of around 2.5 million gamers.
