Zenimax Online Studios has finally announced the latest chapter for The Elder Scrolls Online during the Xbox & Bethesda Developer Direct showcase. The upcoming installment will be entitled Necrom and has been dubbed by studio head Matt Firor as “one of the best updates to the game ever.”

The video exhibited during the showcase gave fans a preview of one of the most requested features in ESO: a new playable class called The Arcanist. Now that fresh content is being added to the ever-popular fantasy RPG title, fans have only become more excited ahead of its impending arrival.

When is the release date for The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom?
The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom will be launched on June 5, 2023 for the PC/Mac with the console releases to follow June 20, 2023. It will similarly be available on Game Pass for those that are subscribed to Microsoft’s popular video game service.

Matt Firor also mentioned during the showcase that Necrom will be taking place in Eastern Morrowind, which has apparently “not been seen in an Elder Scrolls game since 1994.” Here, you’ll be able to encounter a few familiar characters including the Daedric Prince of Knowledge, Hermaeus Mora.
Those looking to jump into the popular multiplayer franchise will also be glad to know that Zenimax Online Studios have made all previous chapters of The Elder Scrolls Online free-to-play for a limited time.
