Sega has announced that Team Sonic Racing will feature a revamped version of Sand Hill from Sonic Adventure.
Sand Road is one of many tracks featured in the upcoming mascot racer, and its theme should be familiar to anyone who has played 1998's classic Dreamcast title. In case you didn't know, Sand Hill was a bonus stage where your character dodged obstacles while sliding down a, well, sandy hill.
The track features a theme by Jun Senoue and Tee Loupes, with bass played by Takeshi Taneda.
I have fond memories of Sonic Adventure. In fact, I remember popping into my local GameStation back in winter '98, and seeing a Japanese import Dreamcast playing the intro to the game. It blew my little 14-year-old mind. Ain't nostalgia wonderful?
Team Sonic Racing is due out on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on May 21, 2019.
