Epic Games has revealed that a new update is coming to Fortnite in the near future. In the Survive the Storm update, players will get to play through the Survive the Storm mode, deal with special mutant storms, unlock new challenges, discover in-game rewards, gain access to new hydraulic weapon sets, unearth new heroes and much much more..
The developer says that players will have to move fast because, the threat will only remain here for a limited time, so get your waterproofs on and dive in. See if you can survive the storm, dispatch the mutants and earn some exclusive loot.
Survive the Storm was originally scheduled to launch on August 29, but due to last minute bugs, the update has been put on hold in order to rectify the issues.
We don’t want to set any expectations at this point since we are still investigating, but it is likely going to be delayed at least 24 hr.

Fortnite is currently in early access on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Mac. A full release is planned for late 2018.
