Sony looks set to launch a 12GB super slim PS3 and a higher capacity 500GB model in time for the holiday season, according to an advert placed by Polish electronics retailer Media Expert (seen by Polygamia | TheSixthAxis).
The advert places a September 28 date on the two new models, priced at €199 (around £160) for the 12GB, and €299 (around £240) for the 500GB model.
Sony is expected to officially announce the new PS3s at the Tokyo Game Show later this month – Sony’s conference will take place at 5am BST time on Wednesday September 19.
A budget priced PS3 would be a great way to help Sony shift more consoles in the wake of new competition from Wii U – set to launch November 30.
