Star Wars: Battlefront will be shown at E3, EA has confirmed, adding that development on the project is coming along "very, very well."

"Frostbite 3 and the associated development tool set that comes with that has [meant] the team has been able to iterate and drive innovation very quickly and get to a high quality quickly and certainly," said CEO Andrew Wilson during EA's financial briefing last night. "There's lots and lots of work to go. But we do plan to show more about [that] and other new projects in development at E3 this year."

Star Wars: Battlefront isn't expected to launch until late next year and is currently being built by Battlefield developer DICE. The game was first teased during last year's E3, although it isn't clear from Wilson's comments whether the game will be playable or not during this year's show.

Alongside Star Wars: Battlefront, EA is expected to reveal new details on Dragon Age: Inquisition, FIFA 15, The Sims 4 and more during E3. A "major" unannounced title due for release later this year will also be revealed.
