In May 2012 LucasArts was told by George Lucas to rework Star Wars 1313 into a Boba Fett title, a Kotaku source has revealed.

This means that prior to the game’s splash at E3 the team was told the project as it stood needed big changes, which goes some way to explaining why the title disappeared off the radar.

Concept art for the title appears to show Fett standing over Bossk, a lizard-like bounty hunter.

“They ended up with movie tech that wouldn’t fit in a game, and game tech that wouldn’t fit in a movie,” a source told Kotaku. “1313 was always in danger of not being made.”

With LucasArts now closed it seems unlikely the project will progress any further, but expect to see many more Star Wars titles as a result of licensing deals.
