The PlayStation Showcase ended with a lovely long look at some action from the highly anticipated Spider-Man 2, showing off both Spideys in action.

We opened with our first look at the game’s secondary villain – Kraven the Hunter. It looks like he has New York in his sights, and there were a few hunts of some other characters we’ll be sure to meet including Black Cat. But the big takeaway was that you’ll be able to play as both Spider-Man and Miles Morales, and the former will even get the powers of the Symbiote Suit.

Peter’s symbiote powers are pretty reminiscent of Xbox 360 Activision title Prototype, and of course there’s plenty of hints about the suit corrupting our favourite web-slinger too. It looks like the game will also feature a hot-swapping mechanic between Peter and Miles, allowing players to change between them at will ala GTA 5 – although it’s likely you’ll be tied into characters at specific story points.

More to follow.
