It’s time to celebrate, Ultramarines, as the first post-launch operation for Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 is on the way. Marking the end of the Tyranid invasion of Kadaku, the new operation will offer a more challenging mission for hardcore fans.

With new graphics options on the way for PC players and opportunities for more DLC, Warhammer fans are eating well, but first they have to take care of the Tyranid scourge.

Space Marine 2 ends the Tyranid invasion

Despite the defeat of the Hive Titan, Kadaku is now lost to the Tyranid threat, but the Cadians won’t be leaving without a fight.

In the upcoming Space Marine 2 operation, Kadaku is being abandoned as the Tyranids turn the planet’s biomass into massive capillary towers. While the Cadians and Ultramarines will be leaving the infected planet, the towers will be decimated before departure.

The new mission will see players fight alongside the Cadians to destroy the towers. “The Tyranids may win the planet, but the Imperium will make it as painful as possible for them,” reads the mission description

More Tyranids?

While this new operation does mark the end of the Tyranid invasion on Kadaku, the hordes of Xenos are still spreading across the cosmos. Furthermore, the forces of Chaos are still present, despite the decimation of Imurah at the end of the main campaign.

This means that more Tyranid missions will undoubtedly release in the future, likely focusing on the other planets in the main campaign. While we might not see more of the Necron tease or Titus’ story until Space Marine 3, there will still be plenty of content to play through.
