It’s an unfortunate day for PlayStation fans as Sony has revealed that they will no longer be offering their popular PlayStation Plus Collection in a few months time. The announcement was included as part of their monthly post detailing the free games they plan on offering to PS Plus Essential subscribers.

Based on their statements, players will still be able to download the titles included within until its closing date after which it will no longer be available. It’s also important to note that once these titles have been downloaded, users will be able to access them as long as they remain a PS Plus subscriber.

When is PlayStation Plus Collection being removed?

The PlayStation Plus Collection is set to be removed on May 9, 2023. Those who haven’t added the offered games to their library yet can still do so until it shuts down. Once added, they will then remain accessible for PS Plus subscribers.

What games are in the PlayStation Plus Collection?

These are the following titles that are presently included in the PS Plus Collection:

  • Batman: Arkham Knight
  • Battlefield 1
  • Bloodborne
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 3
  • Crash Bandicoot: N-Sane Trilogy
  • Days Gone
  • Detroit: Become Human
  • Fallout 4
  • Final Fantasy 15 Royal Edition
  • God of War (2018)
  • Infamous: Second Son
  • Monster Hunter: World
  • Mortal Kombat X
  • Ratchet & Clank
  • Resident Evil 7: Biohazard
  • The Last Guardian
  • The Last of Us Remastered
  • Uncharted 4: A Thief’s Dawn
  • Until Dawn

The selections currently on offer contains a variety of significant AAA games, such as God of War and Bloodborne, so subscribing just to get them may be worth it.

Can I access the PlayStation Plus Collection after it’s removed?

Unfortunately, you will no longer be able to access the collection once it’s been permanently removed. If you plan on purchasing any of these games but are yet to do so, now would be the best time to join Sony’s subscription service so you can avail of these titles for free.
