Sony has posted a new video casting a reflective glance back at its 2018 lineup, which to be fair was probably one of the strongest we've seen in years.

Things got off to a flying start with the Shadow of the Colossus remake, and was quickly followed by God of War, Ni no Kuni II, Detroit: Become Human, Marvel's Spider-Man, and more.

Third-party support was equally strong, with the likes of Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, and Red Dead Redemption 2 also competing for our cash.

In fact, one of Sony's exclusives was actually so good that VideoGamer awarded it our 2018 Game of the Year gong. Need we say more? Well, okay, maybe we should; read our God of War review to find out why it's worth every penny.

2019 is already looking mighty strong, at least as third-party software goes. This month alone, we've got the likes of Kingdom Hearts III and Resident Evil 2 out, so the year is definitely off to a strong start.

As for Sony, well, we're not really sure what they have planned for PS4 beyond Days Gone. The Last of Us: Part II and Ghost of Tsushima have yet to attract a release date, after all.
