Anyone still clinging onto hope for a March 2005 European PSP release can now officially let go of the dream. Georges Fornay, chief of Sony Computer Entertainment France, has confirmed that there will be a delay in bringing the PSP to Europe. No firm release date was given, other than “several months” from now, with shortages and a desire to meet public demand being the reasons given.

Those of you who have pre-ordered a North American PSP need not worry, as the North American release of the PSP has not been affected, with one million units promised to be available at launch on March 24th.
