Sony Japan is to host a PlayStation press conference on Monday, September 1, the platform holder has revealed.

A live stream of the press conference will be hosted on the PlayStation website, the site suggests, with Sony encouraging fans to use the official hashtag #0901PlayStation to take part in the conversation on Twitter.

The conference arrives two weeks before Tokyo Game Show on Thursday, September 18.

So, what could be shown? Well, Capcom could take to the stage to reveal more info on Deep Down, or Sony could announce new titles for the Japanese market, where PS4 has struggled to make too much of an impact.

Don’t expect to see too many major announcements relevant to territories outside of Japan, though.

A new, cheaper PS3 model launches in Japan four days before the conference on August 28. Sony has yet to announce whether the console will also release in other parts of the world.
