French publisher Microids has announced it’ll bring kung-fu game Sifu to store shelves in physical disc form this Spring.
In case you’ve not been following so far, Sifu is a hard-hitting tale of vengeance as you set out to avenge your murdered family. However, while you’ve been training in martial arts your entire life, you also happen to have a magical pendant. This pendant, it turns out, can heal almost any wound or injury, at the cost of years from your life.
Developer Sloclap’s co-founder Pierre de Margerie offers up a statement on the announcement. “We’ve received numerous requests for a retail version of Sifu and we’re delighted to meet players’ expectations in Spring 2022 thanks to this partnership with Microids.”
“We are thrilled by this new partnership!” Microids’ own Editorial Director Alain Milly adds. “We’re very proud to collaborate with such a renowned studio on a title filled with explosive gameplay and magnificent art direction. We are eager to show the beautiful retail editions to the fans!”
It’s all shaping up very well indeed. Sifu will land first digitally on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC on February 8, 2022. Following those, the physical versions of Sifu will arrive a little later on PS4 and PS5 in Spring 2022.
