Remaking a much-loved PS2 adventure such as Shadow of the Colossus must be a daunting task, but if new footage of the opening cinematic posted by the PlayStation US YouTube channel is anything to go by, it seems the game may be in safe hands.Â
The footage, which we’ve embedded below, features commentary from the game’s art director Mark Skelton, technical director Peter Dalton, and founder and CEO of developer Bluepoint Games Marco Thrush. The trio give us some interesting detail on the challenges on rebuilding the classic for the PlayStation 4.
Shadow of the Colossus releases on February 6 2018, so there’s not too much longer to wait before we get our hands on this frankly stunning looking beast and hopefully fall in love all over again.
