SEGA has released a teaser trailer for what is assumed to be a remake of SEGA Mega Drive classic, Castle of Illusion, a platformer which starred Mickey Mouse.

The game was released back in 1990 and is widely regarded as a leader in the platform genre.

The trailer features a castle, an evil queen and the game’s famous apples. There are also copyrights for the years 1990 and 2013, referring to the game’s original and upcoming release dates.

Castle of Illusion Xbox LIVE Arcade promo art has previously been unearthed and the game was also spotted on the Brazilian ratings board.

If true, the game would be the third remake of a retro classic due to be released this summer, joining Capcom’s Ducktales Remastered and Ubisoft’s Flashback.
