Sega has announced that it will be working to fix the various issues with Sonic Origins, the recent compilation of classic Sonic games.

The game came out last month, and it had suffered from various problems. One of the developers said publicly that they weren’t happy with the state of the game. Simon Thomley, the founder of Headcannon Games, cited bugs and glitches that were in need of fixing. He explained that Sega did not allow for any delays and that he still didn’t know if he and his team would be able to provide post-launch support.

Now, Katie Chrzanowski, the Sonic the Hedgehog social media manager, has spoken up. Responding to someone on Twitter, (via VGC) Chrzanowski said:

“Hey! Thanks for the patience! The team’s been listening and is working on fixing a variety of issues right now. We’ll make sure to get some more official messaging out once we have more info for everyone.”

Sonic Origins suffered from muffled audio, sound glitches, problems with widescreen boundaries and strange A.I. behaviour. Sega has yet to provide a time frame for when these fixes will be implimented. And it isn’t clear whether Thomley and his team at Headcanon is working with Sega or not.
