It’s sort of always great news when a big brand accidentally leaks its own products. This time, PlayStation has accidentally leaked the inclusion of Secret Agent Clank coming to its PS Plus service, and it’s one of the Ratchet and Clank games that’s most sorely missed at the moment.

This comes courtesy of an email sent out to PlayStation subscribers that accidentally mentions the inclusion of the game: “PlayStation Plus Premium members can also check out classic games Summoner, Secret Agent Clank, and Jeanne d’Arc,” among a few others. This comes courtesy of influencer RealRadec, who received the email and posted it on Twitter/X.

They go on to say that Secret Agent Clank is only mentioned once in the email, though other subscribers also mentioned they received the same one.

Secret Agent Clank was originally released on the PSP and ported to the PS2 in 2008, however it received no further ports to PlayStation’s modern consoles. This has been one of the biggest complaints from fans of the franchise, alongside focuses on PS2 ports, as fans are desperate to replay these again.

Unfortunately, there’s no indication as to when exactly Secret Agent Clank might arrive on PlayStation Plus Premium. We can only assume that if it’s included in the latest subscriber email, it might arrive alongside the next batch of PS Plus titles.

Just a few weeks ago, The Gamer published an article highlighting how Secret Agent Clank is one of the few Ratchet titles missing from PlayStation Plus at the moment, saying that “Secret Agent Clank coming to PS Plus would mean that the entire series is playable on one platform, sort of.”

Before the most recent leak, it had been clear that there was a sense within the community that it could be coming, and PlayStation’s mistaken email might be everything needed to be ninety-nine percent sure it’s (almost) confirmed.

Just last week, PlayStation put Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters on PS4 and PS5. Alongside the impact that the Rift Apart game has had on the franchise, it’s clear that Ratchet and Clank is now a key player for Sony’s publishing team. Porting older games to PlayStation Plus is essentially free-printing money at this point.
