After falling by the wayside in the aftermath of the Argonaut collapse, exciting, not to distant future, post war epic FPS type game, Roll Call is back in production by a new development studio, funded in part by British publishers SCi. Set up by former Argonaut employees, Jamie Walker and Sefton Hill and partly owned (25.1%) by SCi, Rocksteady are aiming to get the game out some time in 2006.

SCi have loaned money to, bought shares in and signed a development contract with the studio although they claim their relationship will be the same as with all other third-party developers they work with.

In a statement this morning, SCi chief executive Jane Cavanagh said “We are very pleased that we have secured the development of Roll Call which is an exciting product and strengthens our pipeline. The additional strategic investment in Rocksteady is great news for SCi as it allows us to develop what we anticipate will be a long and successful partnership with a very talented development team,”
