Sad end for that Suicide Squad game as it’s lobbed into Prime Gaming as a freebie

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League saw one of the most disastrous launches of all time, getting critically panned to an embarrassing level. It’s been on sale frequently, but apparently that’s not enough. Now, you can pick it up for free with Prime Gaming, Amazon’s gaming sub-service.

Other offerings include Chivalry 2 and Rise of the Tomb Raider, slightly more attractive, I will admit. The offer begins on July 16th and ends 48 hours later. Those with a Prime membership will be able to claim the game, and keep it forever too.

This has occurred just a few days after Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League managed to fudge up its launch of Season 2, which was delayed by two weeks. All 238 players on Steam are probably livid right now.

While it was able to recuperate a fraction of its initial player-base at the start of July, one of the game’s last shots at turning things around will be this free launch onto Prime Gaming, a much better option than paying the £17.99 fee to own it on Steam.

In Suicide Squad: KTJL, you play as each of the characters in the Suicide Squad, and the soon to come introduction of Mr. Freeze will likely excite a few. Despite being set within the Arkhamverse and developed by Rocksteady, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has little relation to the other games in the series. With the Arkham games well respected as some of the most beloved in the industry, the sudden switch to a live service model was the game’s biggest downfall.
