Ascaron UK confirmed that an expansion pack to hack-and-slash RPG Sacred, titled Sacred Underworld, will be available from April 2005.

The original game, a Diablo-esqe hack-and-slash RPG went down well with gamers and press alike, featuring an expansive game world that allowed a large degree of freedom, simple RPG mechanics and a degree of twitch gaming. The expansion pack promises more of the same, although in a world that is estimated at being some 40% bigger and filled with new opponents, weapons and armour to collect.

In addition, two new characters are available (the Daemon and the Dwarf), and there will be an option to let you either start the game fresh with the new characters or keep your existing one (you didn’t delete that game save, did you?).
