The RX 7900 XTX price is a welcome gift from AMD, who seem to be undercutting the RTX 4080 price by a significant amount. Despite being the card put forward to rival the 4080, the RX 7900 XTX is priced at $999.

While the RTX 4080 cost an astronomical amount on launch – $1,199, the RX 7900 XTX is $200 cheaper. Even better than that, the RX 7900 XT is priced at $899, which is even cheaper than the RX 7900 XTX. Upon the release date, we’ll find out for certain is the price difference will be the make or break event for both the RX 7000-series and RTX 40-series graphics cards.

Gamers have seen a rough recent couple of years, with the prices of GPUs consistently reaching all-time highs due to a series of social and economical issues – namely price gouging and pandemic influenced supply chain issues.

Nvidia took it upon themselves to capitalise on these problems and decided to price their latest graphics cards way upwards of $1000, though the AMD Radeon’s RX 7000-series seeks to offer a solution to the graphics card pricing problem.

RX 7900 XTX price

The RX 7900 XTX MSRP is $999, seriously undercutting Nvidia’s RTX 40-series price template.

That being said, $999 is still a big chunk of money that most might be hesitant to splash out on a graphics card.

The RX 7900 XTX is priced slightly higher than its younger sibling – though there’s only a $100 difference between the two.

Will there be stock shortages on RX 7900 XTX launch?

GPU launch dates are always a turbulent time, and AMD’s RX 7900 XTX is no different. Early listing of the RX 6900 XT are already costing more than the AMD’s declared price of $999. Unfortunately, this likely means that stock levels are low and may be expected to last through till early 2023. This is a developing story though, so check back here for incoming updates.
