Wii U will release in Europe on December 7, 2012, according to French retailer Fnac.

As reported by JeuxActu, in-store posters at Fnac date the console for release in three months’ time. The store’s website also prices the console at 349 EUR and reaffirms the December date.

The date ties in with previous reports that the European release of Wii U had been pushed back to December owing to problems with manufacturing.

Last month, it was rumoured that Nintendo had faced “manufacturing issues” with the Wii U’s GamePad.

Nintendo is expected to announce a North American price and release date for Wii U next week.

The console is due to launch across Europe this ‘holiday’.
