Psyonix has declared that Rocket League‘s annual holiday-themed event Frosty Fest will bring festive cheer to the soccer-car favourite on December 16.

The Beckwith Park arena gets a snowy make-over for the duration of the event in Ranked, Casual and Private matches. There’ll also be a couple of limited time modes too. These include Winter Breakaway which switches out the ball for a hockey puck. Meanwhile, Spike Rush mode sees the carrier unable to boost & destroyed on impact.

Players will be able to complete a whole host of Frosty Fest Challenges in order to unlock seasonal cosmetics including Ring-a-Ling wheels, three new decals, Flannel Paint Finish, the ‘Abominable Throwman’ title and more. And even if you don’t fancy those, every player can claim a free Ski-Free player banner from the item shop.

The Item Shop is also offering a bunch of winter-themed content, including a Frosty Pack bundle. For a discounted price of 1100 credits, you can nab a Tygris (Crimson Painted), Frostbite Boost (Forest Green Painted), Wonderment Wheels (Crimson Painted), and Sub-Zero Goal Explosion (Forest Green Painted).

The Frosty Fest event in Rocket League kicks off from December 16. The limited Winter Breakaway mode will be available between December 16 through December 24. That’ll then be replaced by Spike Rush between December 24 and January 3. Check out the video for the event below.
