UPDATE: Capcom has provided VideoGamer.com with the following statement, confirming that while Resident Evil 7 will have pre-order bonuses, there will not be any microtransactions:
"Whilst there will be pre-order bonus items and DLC available to purchase for Resident Evil 7, there will not be any micro-transactions in the game." - Capcom
ORIGINAL REPORT: More details on Resident Evil 7's pre-order bonuses have been revealed, courtesy of Swedish retailer Disc Shop.
According to the retailer, fans who pre-order the game will receive access to four different Survival Packs - the Recovery Set, Handgun Set, Burner Set and Chem Fluid Set - each containing additional items to help them survive the creepy new mansion.
As well as the consumable items, each pre-order set appears to feature a different coin, which I presume could be gold, silver, bronze and copper. Capcom has yet to formally announce details on the sets or confirm the functionality of the coins.
The Burner Set also suggests that zombie-burning may be back for the new game, following its absence in recent entries.
Resident Evil 7 launches on PS4, Xbox One and PC on January 24, 2017.
