Rage 2's official social media accounts have announced the open-world post-apocalyptic shooter is to get a huge update on July 25 that will, for one, add three new modes to the game.

The tweet, which we've embedded below, reveals the update will add New Game+, an Ironman Mode and an Ultra Nightmare difficulty. On top of that is promised an added flashlight and the ability to skip Ark Tutorials as well as a bunch of fixes and tweaks.

Hopefully this should give endgame players a huge chunk of stuff to do after they've completed the game and tide them over before the launch of the upcoming Rise of the Ghosts DLC later this year. Rage 2 is out now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC – check out our Josh's review of the game right over here.
