Finally some welcome news – the RX 7900 XT price is brilliant value, directly undercutting both Nvidia’s 30-series and 40-series GPUs. This quality AMD graphics card is only costing users $899, $100 down from AMD’s flagship and RTX 4080 rival, the RX 7900 XTX.
Maybe Nvidia’s 40-series has made us too grateful for any graphics card costing less than $1000. The RX 7900 XT is $300 cheaper than the RTX 4080 whilst simultaneously delivering on performance. Though we’re still waiting for the release date to fully make up our minds on the overall performance of the RX 7900 XT, we definitely like what we’ve seen so far.
Hopefully the release of AMD’s RX 7000-series marks a departure from the trend of sky high GPU prices. Gamers have felt the crunch with all-time highs in prices for GPUs thanks to the pandemic and supply chain issues. Whilst Nvidia has chosen to capitalise on this problem with their 40-series, we have to appreciate AMD as the people’s choice, keeping their prices beneath the $1000 mark.
RX 7900 XT price
The RX 7900 XT is selling for $899 on its releaser date, making it a far sweeter deal than Nvidia’s RTX 40-series. And that’s before you’ve seen the prices for AMD’s previous 6000-series graphics cards which you can get for less than $400. They’re definitely going for the People’s Choice.

As for the slightly higher performing RX 79800 XTX, you can bag this bad boy for $100 more at $999, just brushing the $1000 mark.

Is the RX 7900 XT worth it?
We’ll give a proper answer on December 13th, but AMD appears to be making all the right sounds when it comes to the RX 7900 XT. Brands like Gigabyte have already confirmed RX 7900 graphics cards.
