PlayStation 4 has “three key advantages” over Xbox One, SCEA president Jack Tretton has claimed, citing the console’s power, price and games as key factors for its success.

“[There are] three key advantages,” Tretton said while discussing the benefits of PS4 with Fox, “we’ve got the most powerful machine on the market; $100 cheaper than our competition; and most importantly, the biggest, most diverse exclusive line-up of any platform ever launched, and that’s what’s really going to drive the sales for us in the long term.”

Tretton says that Sony is “at an all-time high right now”, which he believes is due to staying “laser-focussed on the consumer” and giving developers “the palette to create the best gaming experience possible.

“And we see competitors come and go,” he continues. “We’ve had formidable competition in the past, we’ll have formidable competition going forward. You get laser-focussed on your business vision and you execute what the gamers want.”

PlayStation 4 launches in the US on November 15, with the UK following two weeks later on November 29. Xbox One, meanwhile, launches in both territories on November 22.
