Sony is partially lifting the gates on PlayStation Plus to provide five days of free multiplayer gaming, beginning at 10am on February 22.

The PlayStation Plus Open Multiplayer event will run until 23.59pm on Sunday, February 26.

Usually restricted only to PS Plus members, PS4 online multiplayer will be open to all during the event, with no need to sign up or activate anything. Simply load up a multiplayer game and start playing.

The event doesn’t offer access other PS Plus features, such as the monthly games library additions, or exclusive PS Store discounts. For these you’ll need to take out a subscription costing around £40 a year.
