PlayStation Vita Software Update Version 2.10 is now available, bringing the headline feature of folders for the home screen.

Using folders you can now organise your games and apps how you see fit, with up to ten icons placeable into each folder. Up to 100 icons can be displayed on the home screen, including those inside folders.

The update doesn’t stop with folders, though, with support for video playback now being included via the Vita’s internet browser.

Other new features include the ability to send messages to more than one person when using Group Messaging, as well as enhancements to other aspects of Vita functionality:

  • Email – add multiple addresses per contact and display HTML messages
  • Photos – zoom-in in HD
  • Sound – auto mute
  • Email – search message body
  • PlayStation Plus – upload Game Saves via a 3G network connection
