The monthly set of free games available for PS Plus users have finally been revealed. According to the official PlayStation Blog, their latest offerings can be acquired by Essential, Extra, and Premium tier members and can be downloaded from December 6, 2022 until January 2, 2023.

Their latest announcement further goes on to state that the PS Plus Extra and Premium Game Catalog lineup for December will be announced later on in the month.

Without further ado, here are the free PS Plus titles for December 2022.

Free PS Plus Games for December 2022

The free games for PS Plus users in December 2022 include Mass Effect Legendary Edition, Divine Knockout: Founder’s Edition, and Biomutant. Last month, PS Plus offered members Nioh 2 Remastered, LEGO Harry Potter Collection, and Heavenly Bodies.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition

Mass Effect Legendary Edition is a collection of the beloved BioWare and EA trilogy released in 2007, 2010, and 2012 respectively. Each game is set in outer space during the 22nd century and revolves around the main character, Commander Shepard.

Since this collection is a remastered version of each title combined, most of the in-game content remains the same. There are a few noticeable additions and enhancements, however, such as the availability of a female Commander Shepard in both the first and second games.

Divine Knockout: Founder’s Edition

Divine Knockout: Founder’s Edition is a third-person platform fighter developed by Red Beard Games. Its gameplay is similar to that of other platform brawlers with the main difference being the player’s POV and its set of playable characters.

The game’s roster consists of figures from Japanese, Greek, and Norse mythology such as Athena, Thor, and Amaterasu. The Founder’s Edition will enable players to use eight different characters. It will also provide a unique skin and decal among other perks.

Biomutant

Biomutant is an adventure title developed by Experiment 101 that puts you in the role of a customizable anthropomorphic creature. The in-game world is similarly filled with mutated animals and its story also has a branching plotline which is affected by your choices.

You’ll be able to meet and interact with various NPCs as you progress through your adventure. Additionally, you’ll also be able to level up and gain additional skills as you advance.

How often will new titles be introduced to PlayStation Plus?

PlayStation Plus Essential will see a monthly refresh occur on the first Tuesday of the month – with new PS4 and PS5 games. Another monthly refresh will occur in the middle of the month with new games across PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium/Deluxe plans, according to the Sony blog.

Are PS Plus games free forever?

Yes, providing you don’t cancel your Plus subscription. If you renew it, you’ll regain access to the games you downloaded. If not, they’ll stay locked. Make sure you actively ‘Add Game to Library’ while they’re available to claim them first, however.
