The two upcoming Switch games, Pokémon Sword and Shield, will both have their own legendary Pokémon, as is always the case.

The new legendaries are Zacian and Zamazenta, and they both look like dogs that are wearing armour, and they both look quite similar, until they begin to glow blue and orange, respectively.

Check out the trailer:

There isn't any information with regard to typing yet, but it's most likely that each the blue armoured dog will be exclusive to Sword and the orange armoured dog will be exclusive to Shield.

The Pokémon Company has provided descriptions for the two monsters. The one for Zacian, the dog with the Sword in its mouth, reads, 'Zacian attacks so gracefully that its movements can even captivate its opponents. It holds what appears to be a sword in its mouth.'

The one for Zamazenta reads, 'Zamazenta’s regal and majestic movements overwhelm any opponents that dare face it. Its body is covered in what seems to be a shield.'

So there you have it. In other news, the two games will not feature every single Pokemon from all previous games.

Pokemon Sword and Shield are out on November 15, 2019 for the Nintendo Switch.
