As usual, the changes arrived after a maintenance period that began from 4 PM to 5 PM PT. Luckily, those using the service on their mobile devices will now simply have to update their apps for the patch to reflect. If you want to find out the exact changes that were made during the latest update, then you’ll be able to find out below.

Pokemon Home Version 2.1.0 Patch Notes

Here are the patch notes for the latest Pokemon Home update:

  • Added Ranked Battles information from Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet to the Battle Data feature.
  • Notes:
    • If you’ve linked Pokémon Home to a Nintendo Account with data from Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet, you’ll now be able to view results from your Ranked Battles in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet.
    • You can view your battle results from Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield by choosing View Past Battle Records.

Players are understandably puzzled with this latest update as most were expecting Game Freak to introduce Pokemon Scarlet and Violet compatibility to Home first before Ranked Battle data functionality. It’s still currently unclear when the developers plan on connecting S&V for transfer.

However, they have already stated that it will be arriving in a Spring 2023 update, which means we should expect more details soon. Some users are speculating that the long-awaited update will arrive at the end of February, though it is yet to be confirmed.

Fortunately for Sword & Shield players, they will now be able to check their battle results through the app because of the update.
