PlayStation Vita TV will support PS3 games via the Gaikai streaming technology, Sony has confirmed.

When the set-top Vita was announced earlier this month Sony only confirmed support for PS Vita, PSP and PSone titles.

Interestingly, Sony revealed that all games released via Gaikai would need to be re-certified.

“We have to make sure the games work through the internet,” explained Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida. “We have to go through certification for each title. So we’ll start with a selection and then work from there.”

Sony’s still not confirming a European release for Vita TV or Gaikai.

Vita TV launches in Japan on November 14.
