Sony will temporarily cut the price of PlayStation Vita in France this Friday, according to a new report.
Sony is set to launch a cashback promotion offering a €50 rebate to any customer who purchases a Vita between June 1 and July 15.
It’s still unclear which Vita model the promotion applies to.
Sadly Sony doesn’t have similar plans in place for the UK, telling Eurogamer: “This is a limited retail price promotion that is only available for a short space of time in France.”
PlayStation Vita launched in Europe back in February. However, the handheld has suffered from slower than expected sales which many put down to its relatively high price.
A Wi-Fi-only Vita currently costs £209.99 in the UK, with the 3G-enabled version retailing at a slightly higher £279.99.
