Sony has announced that the PlayStation 3 software update v4.20 will be released today.

The update makes changes to the console’s power-save mode, fixes a wireless headset bug, and improves data management.

By default PlayStation 3 consoles will now turn off after one hour of no use – a setting that can be adjusted in the System Auto-Off section of the XMB. Sidetone (hearing your voice while using an wireless headset) can now also be adjusted.

In terms of data management, saved data items can now be selected as a group to be deleted or copied.
