Update, December 3, 4.53pm:

"Show me your true form!" Persona 5 Royal will release on March 31, 2020 for the PlayStation 4 in Western territories, as announced through the PlayStation Blog. Four physical editions have been shown off; these are the launch edition, deluxe edition, ultimate edition, and Phantom Thieves edition. All come with a variety of goodies, and four DLC bundles are out now too.

Original story, December 3, 4.10pm:

The Persona 5 Royal launch date in the West has been revealed on a pre-order listing on Amazon Canada (via Resetera).

It was hypothesised that the game would release in tandem with the Asian version on February 20, 2020. Instead, it seems that the Western territories will be hanging on for another six weeks. Absence makes the heart grow fonder and players have lots and lots to look forward to in Persona 5 Royal. A new Phantom Thief has joined the team, Social Links have been overhauled, new locations are available, and new battle mechanics and Personas have been introduced.

The revamped re-release has gotten off to an excellent start in Japan, selling around 400,000 units since it launched on October 31. All in all, the Persona series has surpassed 11 million games and associated products since its debut in 1996. Neither Atlus nor Sega have commented on the launch date leak, so we don’t know for sure. Once we get an official update, you’ll be the first to know.
