A new – and extremely short – Payday 3 teaser trailer has now been released through the game’s official YouTube channel. Although brief, the snippet at least lets fans know that a long-awaited gameplay preview of the heist ’em up is coming in summer 2023. The beginning of the clip also displays the silhouette and voice of a highly popular character, making the wait for the game’s launch even more exciting.

With the Payday 3 release date inching closer, Starbreeze Studios and Overkill Software have also decided to provide additional insight into the development process through a blog post. According to the developers, “Payday 3 is releasing later this year” and they’re also getting ready to provide the aforementioned gameplay preview “as well as more information about what you can expect very soon.”

They’ve also recommended signing up to Starbreeze Nebula and opting in for the Payday 3 newsletters so you get the latest information once it’s released. Additionally, having “a Nebula account will also let you earn Twitch drops and other bonuses in Payday 2,” which may just be the extra incentive you need to create one if you haven’t yet.

Even though the latest Payday 3 teaser trailer was only 20 seconds long, longtime fans couldn’t help but be excited for its imminent launch. One user commenting under the video said that they “genuinely can’t wait” until they get to see the gameplay for this because “the few little tidbits” they’ve seen “already look really nice.”

Only a handful of weeks are left until summer rolls around so you won’t have to wait too long now for more details on your favorite heist-based co-op title. Payday 3 is also set to be released this year on multiple consoles including the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC so you’ll be able to play it no matter what current gen platform you prefer.
