Skybound Games has announced that it has cancelled the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Overkill's The Walking Dead, despite 505 Games last week denying this would be the case.

The console edition of the troubled undead co-op title was originally due out alongside the PC release last November, before being pushed to February. After that, it was postponed again to an undisclosed date. Now, not only will those versions never see the light of day, but support for the PC release has also been canned.

;As of today, we have terminated our contract with Starbreeze Studios and will discontinue all efforts on Overkill's The Walking Dead,' commented Skybound (via PST). 'We did our best to work with Starbreeze and resolve many issues that we saw with the game, but ultimately Overkill's The Walking Dead did not meet our standards nor is it the quality that we were promised.'
