After teasing an announcement at the tail-end of November, Obsidian Entertainment came good with The Outer Worlds tonight at this year's Keighleys.

The first person, sci-fi adventure is being published by Private Division, which is a new publishing arm of Take-Two, and will be available on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 when it launches. Yes. It will be on PlayStation 4 even though Microsoft now owns the studio

'In The Outer Worlds, you awake from hibernation on a colonist ship that was lost in transit to Halcyon, the furthest colony from Earth located at the edge of the galaxy, only to find yourself in the midst of a deep conspiracy threatening to destroy it,' the blurb reads. 'As you explore the furthest reaches of space and encounter various factions, all vying for power, the character you decide to become will determine how this player-driven story unfolds. In the corporate equation for the colony, you are the unplanned variable.'

It looks like a Fallouty No Man's Sky, and I am all about it. Have a look at the trailer below to get a taste of what you can expect from The Outer Worlds.
