No Man’s Sky continues its incredible redemption story, this time with another massive patch that brings even more spacefaring content into its sprawling world. With Hello Games having recently introduced its Worlds Part 1 update for free, its popularity has predictably skyrocketed, with the intergalactic survival epic reaching Steam’s Top 100 most played games chart once again.

Although No Man’s Sky is only sitting at 91 on the Steam chart as of writing, it will more than likely continue to rise since the update was only recently introduced. In fact, it had already gone up nine places from its original spot of 100 in the time it took us to write this. And that should only continue as more players get back into the interstellar swing of things, especially with No Man’s Sky already trending on X (formerly Twitter).

In addition, No Man’s Sky on Steam has also seen a healthy influx of ‘Very Positive’ reviews following Hello Games’ update launch. Predictably enough, most players continue to commend the developers for consistently bringing new content despite the backlash it received on opening day. Of course, the wave of compliments the game has recently received is to be expected since the Worlds Part 1 update has given the community even more content to play around with and made every planet feel even more alive.

If you’ve yet to jump into the vast galaxy of No Man’s Sky, though, you will need to purchase the base game before you can access the new content. Fortunately, it currently has a 60% discount on Steam, so now would be the perfect time to add it to your growing backlog. Alternatively, you can access it on Xbox Game Pass if you’re currently subscribed to the service. If you already have the game, make sure to create save file backups so your progress doesn’t get erased following the update.
