Speaking to Business Week Online Miyamoto has revealed that he wants videogames to move away from the normal television screen to something much more futuristic. He said how playing games on conventional TVs is convenient, but how he has “always wanted to have a custom-sized screen that wasn’t the typical four-cornered cathode ray tube TV.

He went on to add: “I always thought that games would eventually break free of the confines of a TV screen to fill an entire room. But I would rather not say anything more about that.” Is Miyamoto hinting that Nintendo are in fact working on new ways for videogames to be played? He might be talking about some kind of holographic display or maybe something far more simplistic.
