The DS will hopefully hit our shores in March 2005.

In addition to announcing a projected 2.8 million sales by the end of 2004, the company reiterated that details of a UK release would be revealed in early 2005, with many retailers speculating a late March release date, some of these already taking preorders for the machine.

The North American launch saw half a million units sold in under a week, with Japanese sales hitting the same mark in just four days. Nintendo also announced that sales have exceeded one million in North America, and that they hope to sell the same number to the Japanese market by this Friday.
