More stock of Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch will be sent to stores later “this week”, Namco Bandai has told VideoGamer.com, following the game’s sell-out launch last Friday.

Stock of the Studio Ghibli JRPG was “hard to find” over launch weekend, Namco Bandai UK’s Marketing & PR Director Lee Kirton told VideoGamer.com this morning, after the game appeared to have sold out at all major online retailers.

Amazon, GAME, Zavvi, Play.com and ShopTo.net all currently report the game as being out of stock, with Tesco allegedly telling some pre-order customers that that they may face a delay of up to two weeks.

But Namco claims those still waiting for a copy “will not have to wait long”.

“We are thrilled at its launch success,” Kirton told VideoGamer.com, “and we will be providing stock this week through the channels so people waiting for the game will not have to wait long.

“I would advise that customers check with their retailers and place their orders and we will be supplying this week.”

But despite the stock issues, Ni No Kuni still managed to claim the no.1 spot in this week’s UK All Format Top 40 Chart.
