Nexon just celebrated the one-year anniversary of The First Descendant with a fantastic livestream. This livestream reaffirmed more of the epic content on the way with Season 3, including a crossover with Nier that looks spectacular. We still have over a month until Season 3 arrives, as well as a few weeks to wait for an early demo, but fans needn’t worry as new content is imminent. Here you will find the release date and time countdown for when the new The First Descendant swimsuit skins will come out, and you’ll also find how to get free rewards from the TFD livestream after maintenance for the new update has finished.

New The First Descendant swimsuit skins release date

The release date for the new swimsuit skins in The First Descendant is July 3rd. This has been confirmed by Nexon on the game’s official X account.

Since TFD came out last year, a bunch of new characters have been added to the roster of heroes. These include the likes of Hailey, Ines, and Serena, and fans will be happy to know that these newcomers are getting swimsuits skins after missing out last year due to not being in the game.

Below are all the female characters set to receive new beach attire:

When do the new The First Descendant swimsuit skins come out?

The release time for when the new The First Descendant swimsuit skins will come out is 3AM PT/6AM ET/11AM BST on July 3rd.

This is the current plan for when update 1.2.22 will release. Per Nexon, maintenance for TFD is expected to start at 10PM PT on July 2nd, as well as 1AM ET/6AM BST on July 3rd.

Delays can always occur, so make sure to follow Nexon’s official X account for continuous updates.

Update 1.2.22 and swimming pool

The new swimsuit skins are coming out as part of update 1.2.22. Unfortunately, Nexon haven’t elaborated on what the update will involve as they simply listed the following:

• Descendant Rebalance
• Hotfix 1.2.22
• Content Improvements
• Bug Fixes

While the new outfits are sure to make Nexon a lot of money, perhaps what’s even better is Nexon adding a free swimming pool area. Players will be able to frolic about and play splish-splash in this swimming pool, while also taking full advantage of photo mode to properly celebrate summer.

How to get free TFD rewards after maintenance

For the one-year anniversary livestream, players reached a total of over 20K accumulative viewers. This means players should receive all the rewards that were promised for exceeding different viewership tiers:

Per Nexon’s event page, the above rewards will be distributed at 12AM PT/3AM ET/8AM BST on July 3rd. The rewards will be sent to your in-game mailbox within 10-minutes after logging in, so you should be able to pick them up after maintenance for update 1.2.22 has finished. Once you find the mail, make sure to redeem before the expiration date of August 7th.
