New Space Marine 2 mission adds new Chaos enemy to every encounter 

A new mission coming to Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 will give players a brand-new perspective for the game’s awesome finale. 

Coming in Patch 5.0, the December Operation adds a new co-op mission that runs parallel to the single-player’s final mission. 

Space Marine 2 Operation Obelisk 

Coming in the “first half of December”, Operation Obelisk brings players back to the Chaos-filled planet of Demerium to assist Titus’ mission of turning the three Obelisks. As your co-op crew, you’ll fight the forces of Chaos to get to your objective. 

Just like when Saber added the November Operation, a new foe joins the fray for this epic battle: the Tzaangor Enlightened. A new Majoris enemy, this foe will be added to every Chaos-themed PvE mission as Saber admits the faction is less fun than Tyranids right now. 

The new Operation isn’t just a rehash of Space Marine 2’s awesome finale, although that would be fun in itself. Instead, you’ll have to fight your way through a “tomb plunged into darkness”, likely Necron ruins that the forces of Chaos are attempting to awaken. 

Following the arrival of the Neo-Volkite pistol, it seemed that Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 was slowing down until the end of the year. However, following the massive sales success of the action game, Saber is far from over with the action game. 

Alongside confirming the new mission, Saber revealed that the game has hit a total of five million players across all platforms. 

“It’s been incredible to see the community grow (and to keep seeing it grow)! Here’s to many more battles ahead,” the team said in a recent blog post.
