Arrowhead’s Helldivers 2 has only just received a brand-new Warbond, adding a host of awesome weapons to the game. However, Arrowhead is far from done with brand-new terrifying enemies on the way and a Super Earth invasion seemingly across the horizon.

Alongside entirely new mechanics like the upcoming weapons attachment system, Arrowhead is also working to add new planets and biomes to Helldivers 2. After loads of complaints about low visibility in harder missions, the game’s developers are seemingly set to add planets with even lower visibility soon.

Helldivers 2’s new low visibility planets

Discovered by reknowned Helldvers 2 dataminer IronS1ghts, the game is set to receive planets with even lower visibility in a new update. Teased in a Twitter post, the constantly teased Gloom is set to hit players hard as they combine with already low-visibility planets for added dread.

According to IronS1ghts, the desert planet of Erson Sands—located in the Falstaff Sector—has been tied to The Gloom in the game’s files. This means that when we finally get a chance to explore The Gloom, things with be FuBAR for sure.

The Gloom has been teased within Helldivers 2 for months now with large sections of the Galactic Map taken up by the mysterious fog. It’s now known exactly how the map effect will alter gameplay outside of the much lower visibility, but it’s terrifying nonetheless.

With planets set to explode and enemies running rampant in Super Earth cities, it’s clear that Arrowhead is continuing to cook up a lot of new goodies (or should we say horrors) in HD2. As The Gloom starts making its debut alongside the push of the Illuminate, how concerned should we be?
