Following yesterday’s report that a Fear Effect movie is to begin shooting later this year, and that Eidos has already begun work on a next-gen Fear Effect game, it appears that someone somewhere got their wires crossed.
Eidos has now issued a comment on the story, denying that a new Fear Effect game is in development.
“There have been some recent reports that Eidos is developing a third Fear Effect title for next generation consoles,” the company said. “Although there is no title currently in development, this is something we are considering at this time and we will update accordingly.“
It’s been a while since the last Fear Effect title was released, and fans of the series would surely lap up a next-gen instalment. We’ll have to wait and see what Eidos decides.
