A new entry in the Fatal Frame horror series – known as Project Zero in the UK – is in development for Wii U, Nintendo and Tecmo Koei have confirmed via Japanese gaming publication Famitsu.
Fatal Frame titles typically see players exploring spooky locations with the aid of the Camera Obscura, an antique camera which captures the images of spirits. Let’s hope the camera is implemented well using the GamePad.
A title and release date for the game have not been announced.
Tecmo Koei is also creating a series of franchise expansions, including a live-action film, novel and comic.
Given the franchise’s limited success outside of Japan, it’s not clear if the new title will be localised for release in Europe and North America.
